TN Revaluation and Retotalling 2027

Last updated

If your marks look lower than expected, DGE lets you ask for a recheck within a short window after the result. Choose the right option and apply on time.

Revaluation vs retotalling

Retotalling Revaluation
What happens Marks already awarded are added up again and checked for posting errors Your answers are evaluated again
Best when You suspect an addition or entry mistake You believe answers were under-marked
Prerequisite (HSE) None Obtain the scanned copy of the answer script first

Eligibility

Candidates who wrote the examination and have their result can apply for the subjects they want rechecked, within DGE’s dates.

How to apply

  1. Read the DGE press release issued after the result: it gives dates, fees and the application method.
  2. Regular students apply through their school; private candidates through the centres named in the notice.
  3. For Higher Secondary, apply for a scanned copy of the answer script (or retotalling).
  4. After receiving the scanned copy, apply for revaluation within the notified period if needed.
  5. Keep the acknowledgement. Revised results are published by DGE.

Deadlines and fees

These change every year and are announced only in the official notice. We do not publish fees until we verify them in the DGE press release for the current year.
