TN Board Marksheet 2027
After the Tamil Nadu board result there are three different documents. Knowing which one you have saves trouble at admission time.
1. Online result statement
The page you see on tnresults.nic.in. It shows your marks immediately. The official site states these “cannot be treated as original mark sheets”. Save or print it for reference.
2. Provisional mark certificate
DGE usually releases a downloadable provisional mark certificate a few days after the result. Schools download it for regular students; private candidates follow the DGE notice. It is commonly accepted for admissions until the original arrives. The date and link are announced in the DGE press release.
3. Original marksheet / certificate
Printed originals are distributed later. Regular students receive them from their school; private candidates from their examination centre. DGE announces the distribution date by press release (for example, DGE issued a press release on certificate distribution for the March 2026 Higher Secondary examinations).
Certificate verification
Institutions and employers can verify marksheets through DGE’s online marksheet verification service.

If your name, date of birth or another particular is wrong, contact your school first. Corrections go through the school and DGE with supporting documents. Act quickly, before applying to colleges.
Lost or damaged certificates
DGE publishes the procedure and forms for duplicate certificates and migration certificates under Services on its website.
