Fact-Checking Policy

Last updated

Every factual claim on tnresult.in is checked before publication. This page explains how.

Sources we accept

  • Directorate of Government Examinations websites: dge.tn.gov.in, tnresults.nic.in, apply1.tndge.org
  • DGE notifications, circulars, press releases and result analysis documents
  • Government Orders of the Government of Tamil Nadu
  • Reputable news reports only as a pointer to an official source, or clearly attributed when no official document is yet available

What we check

  • Dates and times (examinations, results, application windows)
  • Official links (we open each link before publishing it)
  • Numbers such as pass percentages and candidate counts
  • Procedures, eligibility and fees

Status changes

Changing a result to “Announced” requires the official result link and an official source link. Our system will not display “Announced” without both.

Unverified information

If we cannot verify something, we do not publish it, or we label it clearly as tentative or awaiting confirmation.

Official Sources

Information on this page is checked against these official Directorate of Government Examinations websites. Results are available only there.
