Keep these details ready

  • Registration Number
  • Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)

Enter these only on the official result website. This website never asks for your registration number or date of birth and cannot show your marks.

Result page not loading? Troubleshooting tips
  • Heavy traffic is normal in the first hours. Wait a few minutes and reload, or try later in the day.
  • Check that the registration number matches your hall ticket and the date of birth is in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  • Use only channels DGE announces for the year (for example SMS to the mobile number registered with your school, or DigiLocker when announced).
  • Your school can also show you your result. Never pay any website to see your marks.

The Tamil Nadu Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination is the Class 10 public examination conducted by the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu. This page explains how the SSLC result is published, how to check it safely on the official website, and what to do next. We update the status above only after verifying an official DGE announcement.

This is an independent guide. Results are published only on official DGE websites. We never ask for your registration number or date of birth.

How to check the TN SSLC result

  1. Open the official result website tnresults.nic.in (official website, opens in a new tab) or the DGE website.
  2. Click the SSLC examination result link for the current session once it is live.
  3. Enter your registration number exactly as printed on your hall ticket.
  4. Enter your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.
  5. Submit and check your name, subject-wise marks and total.
  6. Save or print the page. Keep it until you receive your marksheet.

The official site states that results published online are for immediate information and cannot be treated as original marksheets.

Details you need

Registration number: the unique number DGE assigns to you for the public examination, printed on your hall ticket. Date of birth: as recorded in your school records and hall ticket. If either detail does not work, check for typing errors first, then contact your school.

Passing criteria

An SSLC candidate needs at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject to pass. Read our passing marks guide for details and how to confirm the rules in the current DGE notification.

Marks and the marksheet

The online result shows subject-wise marks and the total. DGE usually makes a provisional mark certificate available for download a few days after the result, and the original marksheet is later distributed through schools (private candidates receive theirs through their examination centre). See the marksheet guide.

Revaluation and retotalling

If you believe your marks are wrong, apply within the window DGE announces after the result. Retotalling rechecks the addition of marks; revaluation re-examines the answers. Read the revaluation and retotalling guide.

Supplementary examination

Students who do not pass one or more subjects, or who were absent, can take the supplementary examination conducted by DGE in the same year. In 2026 the SSLC supplementary results were published in August. See the supplementary exam guide.
